EOS News

Chintai

Chintai token leasing platform is live and already has around 1 million EOS being staked by users of the platform. Token holders can lease the network resources within their tokens to dApp developers and charge a small interest rate to earn some passive income from their EOS. Check out Chintai here.

Pixel Master

Lots of hype has been building about EOS Pixel Master, a decentralized application built on the EOS blockchain where users can create art (for a price) and compete to win jackpots. Check out Pixel Master’s website to learn more.

EOS dApp’s Making Noise

EOS seems to have solved the scalability issues that have been seen on other blockchains such as Ethereum. Check out DappRadar here.

ShEOS Introduces “Teleportation”

Now developers can “Teleport” ERC-20’s to EOS using the new EOS21 protocol.

“The EOS native token generation from the ERC20 was a snapshot airdrop. EOS was able to do this by expiring their ERC20 contract thereby making the ERC20 EOS tokens non-fungible. In the EOS21 protocol, we are providing another option for ERC20 contracts that do not have a built-in pause/expiry function but who want to move their token to another chain. We are calling this action: teleportation. To teleport a token from one chain to another, it will exist on the destination chain, but no longer exist in a fungible form on the source chain.”
-ShEOS

ShEOS said they will be releasing a demo video this week about the new EOS21 protocol so stay tuned. More info.

Featured Airdrop of the Week

Airdrops are additional tokens that are distributed to EOS token holders. New projects can bootstrap a user base for their DApp while avoiding the complexity of selling tokens via the traditional ICO method. Projects may withhold founder tokens that can provide a runway for the development team. Market participants then decides the fair market value of airdropped tokens for themselves.

Crypto Pesos (P$O)

The Problem

Venezuelans are enduring a very difficult economic crisis with inflation surging 1,000,000% annually. With the largest oil reserves in the world, some might imagine the economy to be thriving, but that just isn’t the case today in Venezuela. Venezuelans are in need of an alternative currency to use in their daily lives.

How CryptoPesos Can Help

“The introduction of the EOS blockchain as a platform for development represents a great opportunity for Venezuela. In addition to offering a free and global impact economy, the EOS blockchain is a platform to redesign the interactions between the people and the political and economic affairs, a new paradigm of governance in the Blockchain. On EOS we can easily build a public voting system transparent, incorruptible and modern for the needs of countries like Venezuela. We reduce costs, modernize processes, undertake high-value technologies and set a precedent in the uses of blockchain and cryptocurrencies that bring the most benefits.”

A Different Kind of Airdrop

“The Crypto Peso has a special distribution process, due to the mission of
becoming a complementary currency to boost the economy in developing
countries in Latin America, focused in Venezuela as a pilot program, every
Venezuelan citizen who enrolls in the distribution receive an amount of 10
Crypto Pesos. The information of each user is collated with the National
Electoral Registry to have control in the inscriptions and verify the Venezuelan identity of the user. EOS tokens holders also receive Crypto Pesos when enrolling in the distribution, through a Know Your Customer process which will be use for the administrative process and for EOS Venezuela use only. It will be in a ratio of 1:10, per each EOS token the user will receive 10 P$OS, with a cap of 1,000,000.00 P$OS max per user.”
